Mother's Day around Europe

26th May is a special day in Poland. Older and younger children celebrate that day with their Mother. Children usually prepare something special for their Mum: they draw nice pictures, make hand-made presents, sign songs and play concerts. Let's listen to a piano concert:

Mother's Day in Italy

In Italy Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May. In Pontecorvo it is also a day of Saint Patron of our town, Day of Saint John. In Pontecorvo on Mother's Day pupils give their Mothers the most beautiful flowers, red roses, as well as prepare cards with aphorisms:


The word "mother" is hidden in the heart

and it’s on everyone's lips in moments of pain and happiness

Mother's Day in Turkey

Mother's Day in Turkey is calabrated on the second Sunday of May. It is a big day and there are a lot of artilces on magazines and newspapers, shows on TV promgammes dedicated to mothers or women in general.
